Those characters in the second pic are the ones that got added into the still-unreleased in the U.S. Samurai Warriors 2 expansion...

...Looks like I might be getting rid of that now.  I'm getting MO on PSP next month, too.  Love the game but this is too much!

it looks like it's Fu Xi and Nu Wa from DW3 as the two characters on the main page, and on the sidebar it's our boy MAEDA TOSHIE and a guy named Shibata, who worked for nobunaga if i'm not mistaken.

the other three are chinese characters i think.

i'm excited anyway and since i have the ps2 version i can get the expansion. or hope to christ it comes out for the 360 because that version looks WAY better.

i'm interested to see how they work out the story for the expansion.

7140 yen is about $65 U.S.  And that's assuming the stores sell it for MSRP.  Stores near me will have a game for that price for closer to $60 U.S., with some exceptions.  Actually Koei's Gundam Musou International for 360 was 7100+ yen for some dumb reason.

Anyway, there's no way this game will cost 7140 yen if it's an expansion, maybe that's for an LE or something.  If that is the regular price, then this is a full-blown SEQUEL, which is even better.

No, all five of those characters on the bottom right of the second picture are from Samurai Warriors 2 XL. 

They're Sasaki Kojiro, Shibata Katsuie, Maeda Toshiie,  Hosokawa Gracia, and Chosokabe Motochika.

holy shit you're right it's sasaki.  that was one bad mother fucker back in the day.  turns out chosokabe wasn't much of anything but some guy that hung out in shikoku.

that big boar/elephant monster thing looks cool but it doesn't look like there are any more new enemies.  it's also the same musou which is fun as hell but in small doses.

taira kiyomori is a new character and he looks damned evil.  unfortunately yoshitsune is a samurai robot with a lightsaber and wings.  what the hell koei?

i guess if you know the story the metaphorical interpretation of these two characters isn't too far fetched, but sometimes koei just goes a little crazy.
