what would you have done in this situation?

Basically, I was about to start walking home from the centre of town when a guy started following me and soon caught up and started asking for money. (I have been approached by him before for money, I didn't give any that time because I had a friend with me so I felt more safe) I said i didn't have any, but he still followed me into the games store and kept asking for money for some bus jorney home. I knew it wasn't for anything like that, it was basically for drugs or alcohol, so i kept refusing to give it to him. I got bored of him pestering me for money and i ended up giving him £2 ($3.80) to get him go away. Keeping in mind he was ugly motherfucker and could of stabbed me at any moment, what would you have done?

I would have given him a couple of dollars and sent him on his way. I'm always nice to ugly people unless they have that crazed look in their eyes some folks get after lifetimes of being mistreated. Then it is best to just stay away lest the individual in question think you are being snide and bite your face off.
