Beats what I went through a few years ago... dude I know named Naveen who I haven't hung out with in years gives me a call on my 21st birthday, wishing me a happy birthday and then saying he wants to treat me to dinner for my bday. (so I'm thinking... that was nice of him, maybe we can go out for some awesome Indian food

) What he ended up doing was attempting to rope me into his Quixtar/Amway pyramid scheme.
