Sound card for a laptop?
« on: January 31, 2008, 09:01:49 PM »
I'm planning on purchasing the Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook external soundcard for my laptop mainly for listening to music. I have a 2.1 setup and am not planning to upgrade to a surround set anytime soon. Do you think this card will be necessary at all? Is the improvement in quality that significant? Cause I'm actually pretty happy with my Logitech Z-2300's directly hooked up to my laptop through the headphones-in output, but I want to be a complete audiophile from now on. Help me out please, I don't want to end up with something I maybe don't really need.

The soundcard at hand:

Seems like it'd be good and for $99, a pretty good deal.  :)
