Well, maybe I shouldn't have put the Ligeti in there.  That has to be the mania, because harpsichords aren't very manic.

harpsichords rock.  I love how they sometimes almost sound electronic.  A nice metallic fuzz.

Ligeti's etudes are pretty manic in general.  He didn't believe he was a talented pianist, so he kept writing more and more complicated, fast etudes in order to test himself.  But it turns out he was a good pianist and he ended up making some awesomely paranoid-sounding etudes.  I usually find etudes boring, but Ligeti's are awesome.
