Depends on if I want money or not.  :-*

Nah, I think probably the last time I can remember calling my mom "mommy" was when I broke my arm in the 2nd grade and was in a lot of pain.

I do still call my grandmother "Nanny" though.  :lol That's what I've always called her, I don't know how to stop now! I already call my other grandmother "grandma". I have a grandpa and granddad, and that sounds okay, but what do I call my other grandma? Grandmother? I don't think I could get away with that now. Sometimes I'll just call her "Nan" because it makes me feel like less of a little kid.

My grandparents are dead.  My grandma passed away last year. :(

I call my mom "mama" and my dad "papa."  It's what I've always called them and I'd feel weird calling them anything else.

Do any of your friends do the mami and papi thing?  fuck man, maybe it's americanized hispanics.  Most of them seem to have problems maturing anyways.

When I hear it, I want to fucking grab them and say HOW FUCKING OLD ARE YOU?

I do it sometimes.  I'll usually say "ma" and "dad," but occasionally the "daddy/mommy" will come out unthinkingly.  My father actually pulled me aside when I was about 22 at some function and said "you know, you don't have to call me 'daddy' anymore." :lol  To which I responded "you're an ass." :D

I don't, neither do any of my friends. There are a lot of girls who I know do, though.

who the hell does that once they reach like the age of 6 or 7 aside from girls?

I find mothers respond best when saying mommy. For example, say I wanted a sandwich but was playing a video game. Saying "Mom can you make me a sandwich?" would get me a "do it yourself" but if I said "Mommy can you make me a sandwich?" I'd more then likely get one.

Mother = Mom
Father = Daddy or Dad
Mom's Mom = Grandma or Gram
Mom's Dad = Pop

My dad's parents are both dead, but this is what I called them when they were still alive:

Dad's Mom = Grandma
Dad's Dad = Grandpa

My great grandmother, my mom's dad's mom, died when I was like 7. I called her grandma as well.

I also call James's grandmother Nana, lol.

I call my mom....mom...  My dad I call "ba ba" which means dad/father in Cantonese.

I hate people that call unrelated people "auntie" or "uncle".   Chinese people do that all the time - it irritates the hell out of me.   :maf

I have an "aunt" who isn't really my aunt but my godmother. My mom is her daughter's godmother and the daughter calls my mom "aunt" as well.

My kids are going to call my best friend Cioci, which is Polish (I think) for aunt. I have a friend with a little girl and my friend's always like "here's Aunt Nikki!"

I don't think it's so bad. I call my best friend's parents Mom and Dad, and my boyfriend thinks that's weird. I've called them that since I was 5 years old. I'm not stopping now, lol.

I'm from latino heritage so I use 'mami'.  'Madre' sounds too formal.

I call my parents the farsi equivalent of mom and dad but ALL middle-eastern people also do that thing with calling close female family friends aunt (they don't do that with men).  the way they say it is like a cross between being respectful and being too lazy to use the longer "missus" word.  I just go along with it because the women give you a weird look if you call them something different like "who the fuck does he think he is?".
