hulu is a service where you can watch tv shows on the web legally.

good mix of current and off air shows, including some which can't be found on DVD.

you have to put up with one or two commercials, but some stuff has no commercials

it's good quality. TVC and I have written about it previously

I don't really watch any show aside from The Office. But I'm planning to watch Arrested Development soon.

So the shows are already uploaded or would I have to upload them? Also what shows are on there already? I'm looking to get into The Wire, The Shield, AD, and uhh Dexter

wierdly it has some FX shows, but not the Shield.

No recent HBO, nor Dexter. Netflix has Dexter on Watch Instantly though.

Wow, this has a ton of awesome content for a beta. I can't see what else gets added when they roll it out. I tell you, if they also find a way to make downloadable Zune and iPod files for this stuff so you can put it on your portable media device like a podcast... Hulu am definitive Internet app of all-time.

I have 10 invites. Remember, US only. PD, I guarantee there's something you'd like to watch there. They've got a lot of shows up there, new and old.

They want to do downloadable, but apparently they are having trouble finding a system that they think works (they want their media to work on all devices, ipod, zune, zen, whatever, but at the same time they don't want to risk cutting into possible DVD sales, so the downloads have to be limited or DRMed in some fashion, and I guess they haven't found a happy solution yet).

Now I don't need to buy AD or Sunny in Philly. Plus I can catch up with some of the shows I've missed due to not having television for the last month and a half, like American Gladiator and Terminator (lol)

aww, no dice. shame. guess i will stick to watching german game shows

and PD, thanks for the offer, but it looks like it checks your IP every time you watch. i guess you could somehow get around that with a proxy, but i dunno if it'd be worth my trouble.
