A few months ago I bought a bag of NES/Genesis games at a flea market for a few bucks. I sold the really good ones on Ebay, but I still had a bunch. There was still some decent stuff in there, but nothing spectacular and most it was beat all to crap. So I decided to get rid of it, and all a few other things that had been cluttering up my home by trading them in at this mom & pop type gamestore that buys and sells games of any kind. 3D0, CD-i, Virtual Boy? They'll take 'em. Their selection isn't very good and they won't give you cash for trade-ins, but I figure I'd get enough credit to get an extra 360 controller or something. But holy crap, they gave me massive trade-in value for some of this stuff. Here's a few of things I traded in:
Legend of Zelda - $15
Mike Tyson's Punchout - $15
Dragon Warrior I - $10 (x2)
Final Fantasy I - $15
Super Mario 2 - $10
Jeremy McGrath Supercross '98 (PSOne) - $5 (WTF?

)
Powerpuff Girls (N64) - $5 (OMG!

)
Johnny Bazookatone (SAT) - $4
Rugrats Scavenger Hunt (N64) - $5 (How?

)
Conker's Bad Fur Day (N64) - $20
Probably the best thing I traded in was a really, really ugly copy of Lufia II and I got $20 for that (I paid $2 for it).
So anyway, long story short, I ended up with over $300 in store credit. I looked through their 360 games, but they didn't have DMC4. They did however have Darkness and DOAX2 for $60, and used copies of Perfect Dark for $30. Eww, no thanks. But then I see Rock Band behind the counter, and I like, go ahead and hook me up with that! So I get out to the car with it, then I'm like, oh wait I need another guitar. So I go back and ask if they've got any guitars but they didn't. But then I saw GHIII behind the counter too, so I'm like, yeah go ahead and give me that too! Then I remembered that I came to get an extra Xbox 360 controller so I asked if they had any of those and they had exactly one, a wireless Pepto Bismal pink one. I snatched that up quick. So yeah, how was your day?
