I cannot seem to remember this guy's name for the life me, though.

Hmm, yeah, I've browsed The Killers' message board lately, and there are a lot of people that loved the first album, but are hating on the new album.

I think Sam's Town is actually better

The songs are more complex, the instrumentation is better (synths and guitars especially), and the album is more consistent. It took a few listens to appreciate the details in the new songs. I think one thing people don't like about it is that the hooks aren't quite as big and instantly catchy as on Hot Fuss.

It's not that great but at least it's not Sam's Town. That was one of the worst abortions a previously good band has ever thrown out.

They weren't bad.

They tried...

AI is worse then GD's previous albums but it was wayyyyyyyy overhyped. Had no subtlety and just came across as radio filler.

Also, the strongest criticism to lay against Nickleback is that all of their songs sound the same, the Killers are one of the few bands where this is, even if you hate them, most definately not the truth.

While you do like The Bends Phoenix Dark, your taste is suspect in almost every thread you create.
