I've decided to stay up all night, or as long as I can, watching some of this junk. Most of it was picked at random based on how erotic the boxart was. Kidding of course, but I really don't know much about most of these shows and grabbed a lot of it randomly. Like I said before, my brother has an enormous anime collection. Here's what Japanimation titles I currently have in my possession:

I haven't watched a lot of what you've listed, but I love me some Eva. I am sure you'll at least like the starting episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I watched the first few episodes of Dirty Pair. I thought it was the original, but as it turns out it was a 10 episode OVA from the late 80s. Still, it was pretty awesome and 80's. I even saw a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reference in one episode.

I think I'm going to watch some Eva now.

bought the boxset when it was released because my friend highly suggested it

No, there is a movie boxset released by ADV tho, but it does not include the Book of Spells which is an ADV release with my 3 favorite OVAs. I have all slayers. ALLLLLLLLL. Three TV series, the OVAs, the movies.

The movie boxset released by ADV is omg cheap tho iirc, I bought the individual dvds tho, didnt know about the boxset till later. I might pick up the boxset on friday just to save spaace.

Yeah, it's set in an alternate future where the Cold War has gone on for 140 years and it's about these female cyborg spies with large bosoms. It's got all the bedroom antics of a James Bond movie, but pretty much nothing else. It bored me.

Hmm... that's a good question. One of my friends argues he prefers "techno", since that's actually a genre of dance music, even though the average joe uses "techno" as a catch-all to refer to house, trance, etc. Luckily by now most of my friends know how to differentiate very basically between the genres.

Eva is a great anime, and the directors cut of the final eps > original cut by a large margine. End of Eva is also fantastic. Not sure it can be appreciated in chunks tho. I've been through it like 8 times now. Only anime ive watched more is SLAYERS OMG
