#1 Baten Kaitos Origins: the VA is just so good, the actors really felt out their characters and delivered absolutely stunning performances, esp. Milly and Sagi

and No More Heroes is looking/sounding pretty promising...

Dragon Quest 8, I love their accents, although some of the changes were questionable (i.e. redoing the interface)

yeah I did enjoy the VA in that game, (esp. Migelo, Vaan and Balthier) pity the game is ass... well It did plenty of things right presentation wise but the battle system was pretty fucken zzzzz and the plot was stupid and hard to follow. Maybe ff13 will deliver... lol

I've always been impressed by how well done the script and dialogue are for the MGS games. As silly as some parts of the games are, I never get the feeling that there's something being mistranslated, unlike most Japanese games.

the presentation in the game is amazing. amazing translation, amazing va...it's probably the most realized localization i've ever seen.

Dragon Quest VIII is probably right after it.

Final Fantasy XII. Both the VA and localization were incredible. The game was a fair bit disappointing, though.

Aside from translating menus and such God Hand was never localized, though. The Japanese version is in Enlgish.

he wasn't responsible for monkey island 1 and 2, he was a programmer and wrote some of the script. The games he has directed are Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, and Psychonauts. Brutal Legend comes out this year. BUY IT

You wouldn't, since they are not the Nickelodeon cartoon Psychonauts was. Thus proving Schafer had nothing to do with it.

Not particularly, his game was Secret of Monkey Island and from there the endless spiral of fail gradually grew
