If there was a demo for that I could've avoided buying that too.  How GAF can even try to defend not having demos for PSN games is beyond me.  The place has turned into one big ass distinguished mentally-challenged Sony fansite.

BTW, GET WELL JAFFE!  THE NEXT PROTEIN GAF FOLDS WILL BE IN YOUR HONOR!

I'm hoping that Sony will figure out that there shit is a mess and fix their release schedule along with the design of the Playstation Store later this year. PSN could be so good. It's already  worthy of being compared to Live, but it's just missing some key things. Fix those, and PSN is a worth ALTERNATIVE

I just read that thread.  I gave me a headache.  Wollan and Kittowny are just absolutely nuts in that thread.  It appears that PS3 fans now care more about catering to developers than gamers who fuel the industry with their buying power.

I'd have way more PSN games (or games in general?) if there were more demos on PSN.

I think my favorite act was when they tore down the Gripshift demo which was already available, after a few first-party games went demo-less and they didn't want to look bad.

Same goes for Wii really, I wish I could have demos pieces of shit like NMH that people claim have great controls.

edit - what thread is everyone talking about? Someone's defending the lack of demos? not the jaffe one

I like how most people act like it's some impossible financial feat to pull off when it's been done for over 2 years without a hitch on XBLA :lol

lack of demos is a big fat problem on PSN.  i'd probably be spending more money on downloadables if they'd adopt the XBL system.  i wanna try out that skiing game!   :lol  i bought the bowling game to "experiment" and boy, i fucked up big time.  i'm only buying shit i can demo first.  so basically, sony loses dollars from people like me.

I think there's a SSD demo, now...

But yeah, there's no excuse for not having demos available.

there is an SSHD demo, which can be "unlocked" to the full version.  Thats actually what drove me to buy the game.

Add me i need more people to score fight with:  pancakesandsx

I'm noticing a lot of the psn titles doing this kinda starter pack thing, where you download the trial and it can be unlocked in game or by buying it via the store later.

Rub a dub
SSHD
Pixeljunk Racers
Possibly Pixeljunk Monsters (i bought it day one, no idea)
Nucleus
Blast Factor

all those work like that

The games that DONT have a playable demo usually have some kinda trailer available in lieu of one.

SSHD is not an ideal scoring game since it takes about an hour to get anywhere. It's still a lot of fun though, and I love the oldschool music.

So does Geo Wars

Really? hrmm, i only got it last month sometime and the game shortly after.

Score: around 20 million - i was able to 1cc up to the 3rd planet boss, finally started screwing up there.  Didnt know you could get above 6x multiplier!  Doubled my previous high score.

What weapon are you using?

Also try to never use bombs, unless absolutely neccessary, and boosting through points is the way to really get your score up there.

I use all of them, depends on the asteroids and my comfort level at the time.
I stockpile bombs like crazy, and i usually keep shield for the 1st 2 planets no problem.

Once I got used to the boost I was hitting 40-50 regularly.  Bombs are good if you come out of boost and find yerself fucked.

I usually use the boost when i see a big asteroid, i need to start using it on the bonus asteroids for megapoints, and substituting boost for bomb when im fucked

add me on psn - pancakesandsx
