That's a painful system.

I used to keep a small alarm clock in the bathroom when I was in highschool.  Otherwise I would take over half an hour or just completely fall asleep in the shower.

Yes yes. any sane man loves the hot. There is evidence that it might lead to sterility though. Your testis actually "drop off" because spermatogensis occurs at a lower temperature then your core 37 C temperature. Try not to abuse them(showers... and testis i guess) :/

The hot water cuts off all the time at these shit ass dorms, I think this is the third time this semester.

I have class in 40 minutes and I need to print something at the lab, then I'm going to Qdoba with my friend after, so I'm going to smell bad until at least 4pm. fuck

I like to end cold, warm water makes you sweaty after you step out of the shower.

Hot showers always make me sleepy so I have to go the cold route when I want to wake up.

Baths rule. I like to fill up the tub every now and again, and just soak in some steaming hot water for about half an hour.

Hot when the temperature outside is below 75-80 degrees, cool when it's above 75-80.  Approximately.  Nothing I like more than a long, cool shower after a day at the beach.  Well, maybe a hot shower on a cold winter morning. :D

I also have an odd habit: at the end of my showers, I like to turn the cold water off completely and let the scalding hot water hit me on my back for a bit until I feel like I'm at the threshold of incurring a first degree burn, at which time I turn it off.  It's weird -- it feels like it's creating an itch and scratching it at the same time.  I know it's just overstimulation of the nerves, but what a rush (albeit a brief one).

Yes, I'm odd.  :-\

Hot, but not scalding. With a cool rinse for my hair right before I get out, because it closes the hair cuticle and makes your hair more shiny.

yeah i do this too. in fact i try to minimize my hair's contact with very hot water as much as possible.

i used to wash my hair under hot water and it would dry it out and give me split ends, which i have to watch out for since i very seldom get haircuts.

i usually start the shower lukewarm to wash my hair, and then turn it hotter to wash my body. when i rinse off, i turn it down again. finally i turn it to lukewarm-cool to rinse my hair and face.

My regular routine is just a hot bath, unfortunately. We just have one of those old-fashioned claw foot tubs. When I do take showers though, I do the cool rinse. I never thought about not washing my hair with too-hot water though, haha. It's never too hot for me anyway, but I will think of that in the future. :)

I'm getting my hair trimmed soon for the first time in I don't know how long. I've dyed it at least 4 times since then, though. [Oh jeeze. I never counted until now!] It needs a trim.

I don't know really, I just jump in grip a shampoo bottle over my head, squeeze, and hope for the best.  In and out, 5 minutes, every time.

I got my mom's hair cut and highlighted as a present for her once. At a salon it was like $74 or something like that.

My best friend's brother's fiance (follow that?) works at said salon. So she cuts my hair whenever I need it, she does their whole family. That way we don't need to make an appointment with the salon, and Kristen gets the money for herself instead of giving the bulk of it back to her boss. Last time I got my hair cut Kristen did me, my best friend, and my best friend's mom. It's kinda nice, everyone in the kitchen like that, lol.

My hair grows fast as well so I'd been dying it myself. Now I have a whole bunch of colors in my hair though, and I'm going back to brown.

You could do one of those highlight-at-home things!

Oh no, I wouldn't trust myself either. I meant have someone help you. :lol

Oh god I can't imagine doing highlights by myself. I'd probably end up dying like...my eyeballs.

Yeah, sometimes in summer I'll go with lukewarm to cool ending with cold, but other than that, hot.  And when it's the winter, I have to use a bath wash with lotion otherwise I'm itchy as shit when I get out of the shower.

Hot no matter the weather outside. Cold showers can indeed wake me up, but usually I'm pretty coherent once I get out the bed
