I just finished Sonic 3 in one sitting.

I didn't realize how short the game was without the add-on. Time to play it again with the S&K patch!

What are your favorite Sonic games, Evilbore?

Sonic CD (JPN/EUR) is my favorite. Best level design, art direction, and soundtrack in a Sonic game. It offers the best combination of speed and exploration. The time travel mechanic is so fucking inspired it's a shame that it hasn't been revisited.

The game looks brilliant on the PSP too. Very vibrant and colorful. I urge you to try it!

S & K levels are balls

Sonic 3 owns their ass. As for my favourite Sonic game its probably Sonic 2

(although the 3 SMS Sonic games saw their fair share of action  :-*, as I was a dirty poor as a child and couldnt get a Genny/Snes :'( )

And also for some reason if you say you like Sonic games on this forum minimum 5 posters will slam your ass and label you a furry.... dont ask me why

I'll go with Sonic 3/S & K. If I can't choose both, than just Sonic 3.

Yeah, the S&K levels were a bit too "platformy" for my taste too, not enough emphasis on speed. I still enjoyed them, though. I also loved the SMS titles when I was a wee child.

the SMS games were pretty fun, I managed to get all the emeralds in Sonic 1 and 2 SMS, was a pretty good achievement for an 8 year old  :D

Sonic 3 + Knuckles fan here... although I'm not as crazy about the Knuckles levels compared to the others...

My ranking would probably be:

Sonic 3+Knuckles
Sonic 3
Sonic 2
Sonic 1
Sonic CD
Sonic and Knuckles standalone
Sonic Rush

I refuse to acknowledge Sonic games not on my list...

sonic 3 has some of the best platforming in the series. sonic 2 is mostly hold right and press jump button on occasions while sonic 3 and knuckles is legitimate platforming. I am in the minority when i say i like sonic 1 the most

Does anyone know if these tracks were re-arranged for Brawl?
