I was going through a rough time back then. I was fired from my part-time job and there I was sitting at home one day after a boring day at school. Math was awful as usual, and there weren't any chicken sandwiches left in the cafetaria. Needless to say, it was a very dreadful day. I took the bus back home, sitting 40 minutes in the same damn vehicle every day, listening to my music, and watching the same old people going in and out of the bus like they did for the last few years. Got home, threw my bag in a corner and sat down, reminiscing past away times, when everything was still new and exciting to me. So much to learn, so much to discover!
It was all over. My life was spiraling downwards. I shrugged and turned the tv on. Zapping through the channels I finally stopped at one and begin to watch this movie about a few girls in highschool. The main character was raised outside of society so this new school she went to, in a highly urban area, was an adventerous experience for her to say the least. As the movie continued and the story progressed I found myself speechless the entire while. I forgot where I was or what I stood for. My exams, bills and the breaking up with my girlfriend who I was dating with for 7 years suddenly didn't matter to me anymore. This movie changed my life. This movie was Mean Girls.
