why wasn't there a last gen Rocket Knight Adventures?  Or a US release of a Goemon game this century?  Or any non Gradius related 2D shooters out of Konami in years and years?  Or why Metal Gear Solid 3's online support was cut less then a year after launch?  Or why did any number of the aggravating things Konami has done over the years have to happen at all?

Mascot driven games have gone to kiddyville sadly, with some exceptions of course.  Crash and Spyro--some of my favorite series from the PSone days are on in the hands of sub-par developers currently.

Amazing game, great music, fantastic boss fights and sweet level design... the cave where you need to use the reflection in the lava to judge your jumps was awesome. I have the cart too

I haven't played the remake, but the videos I saw made it ugly as sin compared to the original.
