Fuck that Swiss Miss shit, where can I get the creamy frothy real thick 'n' tasty business. If I have to go to an ethnic grocery store, I WILL GO TO AN ETHNIC GROCERY STORE and great personal danger to my pale white b-hind

I always figured using milk rather than water made more difference than the brand.  I'm sure some chocolate snobs would disagree, though.

Here's what you do:

Find a message board for foodies or chocoholics, Google for a hot cocoa brand name, then post a topic saying "[Brand Name X] is the best hot cocoa I've tasted in my life."

You should be able to get a feel for the gourmet consensus from the ensuing flamewar.

I liked the Godiva hot cocoa that someone gave me for Christmas.  You could probably find some at South Coast.
