What about if somebody just starts a private site using a public tracker like the pirate bay, only listing and tagging the upload as complete unintelligible gibberish, so as for it to not appear on searches.

I'm actually pissed off at this. I really, REALLY enjoyed stage6, it was such a great source for obscure music videos and stuff you hadnt seen in years. I don't remember the last time I got pissed at some internet site closing down.

It was such an awesome source for electronic/dance videos. With music channels barely showing videos anymore, stage6 was the bomb for people who grew up with vids.

It was already being polluted with anime fruitcakes and their shitty anime music videos and idiots thinking it was leet to upload full anime seasons and tv series. distinguished mentally-challenged fellows.

i was on a nostalgia kick

i didn't watch any tv/movies/concerts on there like everyone else seemed to. if there was a music video i wanted to see that wasn't on youtube i'd go there. but then the search got absolutely horrible as people started uploading more shit like AMV's and i ditched it.

Nowhere near the ease of use of Stage6, this Veoh crap at least has a lot of stuff I'm interested in (full concerts, music videos, etc.), and maybe even more of it. The search engine is much more useful. The bad part is you have to download their lame software to be able to view larger videos, you have to sign up for an account just to download videos from the main site, and the downloads aren't direct from their server like Stage6. It uses some P2P setup, though the speeds seem to be pretty fast for me so far.

as an example (maybe Cajole can appreciated this
