I didn't even really want to talk to them or associate with them at all. I had pretty much no guy friends except for one, and I remember him saying to me once "I could never date you. You're pretty and you dress cute like a girl, but you're into video games and hockey and you love spiders. Oh, and you cuss. It'd be like dating one of my [basketball] teammates. You're bizarre." And that put me off for a long time because I thought it was how every guy saw me Undecided

That's weird, because I'd date a girl exactly for those reasons.

If I was Boogie, I'd just stop thinking about it. I don't think it is an issue with him.

How the hell did you come to the fact that maybe he's gay?  Just because he's uneasy with women doesn't mean he wants a cock in his ass.

a lot of people could be gay, you never know.

Maybe that is the reason he is uneasy with women?

hey boogie, are you still in or around vancouver?

nooo, I'm in Toronto.

The only time I've been to Vancouver has been for my friend's wedding.  Though he's trying to convince me to move out there for a while when I graduate in May, says he'll help me get me on my feet there and find a job.  And I might actually take him up on it.

If I was Boogie, I'd just stop thinking about it. I don't think it is an issue with him.

I would like to be able to "stop thinking about it."  Not that that would actually help me succeed at this.

Apart from the fact that we are biologically inclined to "think about it", it's hard to not think about relationships because I am surrounded by them.  For example, I have 4 roommates.  2 guys, 2 girls.  Within two months of moving in together last year, they paired off and started dating.  The one couple reallly acts like they're married already.  So I'm the fifth wheel in my own house.

Boogie, I felt that way at 22.  Give it another year or two and you just won't care anymore!  And you won't even want to try!  Sad but true.

I should have specified. Of course, you'll think about girls or having a relationship, but I meant to not over obsess about it and to NOT think things like "whats wrong with me?" or "why can't I get a relationship?".

personalities are most important, and that's often hidden behind shyness.
