Hello EB!

I recently shared this with the winners of Annon-Ages and I thought I'd share it with y'all as well.

It's not my lyrics, it's not my beat, but it is yours truly going for mines on the MIC and so.... yeah. It's like a little warm-up demo before I get to the meat of the matter, if you will.

I know my vocals are rather high in the mix, something that either a compressor or a better mic will fix. And yes, the rhyme itself is kinda slow, but I meant for it to be that way - I actually wanted to slow my vocals down to give it a weird outer-space-time-warp feeling, but that's too distracting and annoying.

My next joint will be a straight-up 85BPM dis track, a little more of a back-to-basics approach. This is just me fucking around, trying to do some new shit.

I liked it but you sound too much like Del and it's a bit too slow for my liking. Also you sound more black than PD and TBS.

Del? Ahhh that's a lovely compliment. As far as it being too slow, I guess that's why vocal drum & bass never caught on. Like I said, my next song will be more straight up hip-hop shit.

kill the echo add in a slight reverb. small room should be fine. see if you can't increase the speed of your flow because your measure breaks aren't with the measure breaks of the song.

frankly you need a different beat behind you because it doesn't match what you're doing at all.

Finally listened to it, sounds like you be hailin from Nigger. I'm assuming you ran your voice through some effects or something cause you totally sound black. It was pretty good man I won't lie, the only things I didn't like were that your lyrics are like typical pop rap lyrics and don't really make a statement or say something about anything they're just a bunch of rhymes put together. Also I'd maybe think of lessening the intro I found myself skipping it saying let's get to the music already. Other than that good job just work on your flow a bit.

That's cool it's a D&B track... I think like others said you definitely need a bit of reverb/echo and other postprocessing, but it's definitely a good start...
