I was going to get it, but now I'm kinda thinking...

...maybe not. Apparently it's really short and not very good.  :( I may just rent it instead.

What are the achievements like demi? And what exactly do you do in the game?

Achievements are straight-forward, you can get a nice chunk for just beating the game. There are other achievements for taking your time and exploring, finding various LOST relics and such, like Hurley's van.

Here's what's happened so far -- I am really early on

* Watch opening cutscene, plane crashes
* Wake up in jungle, walk forward, find dead body in tree, see figure as well, triggers something mentally
* Walk forward more, find Kate, who is all "omg go away i am hiding from marshall"
* She gives me water bottle, and triggers flashback
* Flashback is replay of him remembering why he remembers a water bottle... it's here he remembers that Kate is a fugitive
* You have to take a picture of this moment, so it becomes "clear"
* From here, you look around, and see 3 "memory items" (backpack, newspaper, pictures of him and girlfriend) -- this unlocks achievement ("find all memory items in flashback 1")
* Move forward, find Vincent, you have to use him to traverse the jungle
* You can call out to him so he barks, and you can find where he is
* Wind up at crash site, see survivors ("WALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLT") and their obvious bad voice actors (lol)
* Jack tells you to reroute the fuel so it doesnt explode and kill everyone
* Insert puzzle... that's where I am right now

Oh, and after the opening cutscene, it plays the floating "LOST" with the sound, omg it's so authentic

note: the game is using GRAW1/2 engine so it should look good.

We're presuming it uses in-house technology...

Yeah. It uses the GRAW2 engine with particular modifications for terrain (such as jungle, beach). Even though the engine had a great feature set already, it was really designed for flatter urban environments. For Lost, we needed something more organic - beaches, water, and of course, lots of trees, so we've developed tools for our artists to create environments quickly and painlessly. On the engineering side, we are working very hard to optimise every bit of the engine to handle large maps full of very lifelike foliage. The island is a character in both the show and in our game, so we want players to feel that it's alive.

I just beat it, got all 1000 points

I dunno what to make of that ending...

Pretty short game, they cut all the fat and just throw in all the major events from the past 3 seasons.

So can you get the full 1000 points faster than King Kong?

Fanservice all the way

Someone spoil the fucking ending already

You can view it on YouTube, but I'll do some cliffnotes

"LOST ENDING"
Your guy is a photojournalist who will do anything for the story
He basically betrays his ex, who dies by the Hanso (Mittlewerk)
Hanso is working on ESP, Sixth Sense, dealing with Nerve Toxins, etc
the Via Domus compass leads to a boat called, Via Domus
the others planted the compass, obviously, you dont just "stumble" upon it
You lure Jack to the Black Rock in exchange for the compass, and the way home
You save Jack and Kate
Locke shoots an other before he blows the boat up, he's like MY PLACE IS HERE YOU HAVE TO GO HOME
Elliott (your guys name) is sailing home, when he looks up and sees... OCEANIC815 !?
Suddenly, he wakes up on the beach, and the plane has just crashed... again!?
Lisa runs forward and is like WE'RE ALIVE, but Elliott is like WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE DEAD HOW ARE YOU ALIVE!?

So basically, it is assumed two things

* It was a dream
* It was a vision (re: Desmond)

We cannot assume it was a vision, because Lisa (the ex) is alive in the ending, when she died in his vision

It's a pretty copout ending, but I tweaked as per usual
[close]

It doesnt tie into any seasons, and is not canon AT ALL

You do get to visit the "Incident Room" -- remember the previous incident at the Swan, so they sealed it off? You get to visit that

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Several times in the game Locke tells you that the island is a second chance at life. At the end, Locke also tells you that the island grants wishes. Since our hero has begun to regret being an enormous douchebag, the island granted his wish to undo his douchery, by altering events so that Lisa didn't get killed and now she's alive with him on the island with a chance for him to patch things up with her. So although he didn't literally find his way home, he did in a since in that he was able to redeem himself and have his misdeeds undone. Also, by resetting everything at the end, it ties up any loose ends between the game and the TV show. None of the stuff with Elliott is ever mentioned on the show, because none of it ever happened, it was all undone, and if you like you can assume that Elliott and Lisa are alive on the island on the TV show, they're just one of the nameless survivors that we never actually see or hear from.
