yes, I have totally read my original 1960s paperback to tatters, and only just this past weekend found out there's this 40th anniversary edition with HUNDREDS of new annotations, illustrations, puzzles solved in the past 40 years, new Dodgson scholarship, wow just wow

one of the best books ever, now even better. books are awesome!

Yeah, I am planning on getting a 360 at some point. Maybe I can talk myself out of it before the end of the work day. I was able to talk myself out of getting Dynasty Warriors 6...

From what I've seen of the screenshots, it already looks like a lousy port. Compound that with major framerate problems, it just seems like a total waste of money. You should probably just go with DW6.

That's the thing, though. I really don't want DW6, it was just an impulse thing. However, I REALLY WANT Lost Planet.

Yeah, I had to nab it. I've been looking for a notebook for ages, but wanted something with more horsepower than my current PC (Celeron D, 1GB DDR333 RAM, GeForce 6800 GTS). I think I might take the DIMMs and put them to other uses, because I can upgrade the laptop to 4GB RAM pretty cheaply.

I'm not running anything that would require me to downgrade. I look forward to being able to play such GPU intensive games as World of WarCraft and Civilization 4 and StarCraft 2 and Titan Quest and Spore. Now that it looks like I'll have a machine that'll play TF2 with a bit more stability, I might get back into that. And Battlefield Heroes is a must download, but that's free. I'm not that crazy of a PC gamer (I've got a PS3 and X360), I'm more of a multimedia guy and this will be more than enough for the immediate future. And since it's not that big of investment, I won't worry if it's underpowered in three years.
