Action movie with Clive Owen as some drifter-like British dude in America and Monica Belucci as herself a whore.  I watched half of it and found it amusing.  It's really over-the-top crazy.  I believe the proper term would be "gun porn."

I watched it in 1080p and still thought it was meh.  Belluci looks much older on Blu-ray which was another negative.

It really didn't seem completely intentional, dude.  From someone who has read bad scripts from writers who think they're cool.  They might not be trying to write high art, but they're not certainly trying to write straight camp.  I agree, a good portion of the time it seems self-aware (the actors certainly do), but a good portion also feels unintentional.

Consider it like an R-rated version of The Transporter.  There's your explanation, happy now?

What?  A lot of what makes The Transporter great was that it was intentional.  That was not a witty satire or anything.

You've got the DVD, right?  Well, fire up that commentary and report back to us.
I know, Shoot Em Up has a kinda schizo tone, but I just went along with and rather enjoyed it.  I'm a sucker for some well placed melodrama, SEU delivered that alongside some killer one liners and fun action scenes.  And when you've got Clive Owen delivering the lines, he can make anything he's made to say sound interesting.  Its fun, but not meant to be taken so seriously.

Don't be one of those guys who didn't like it "Cause its stupid and gay."
