that first post was pure trolling. it was aimed at the people who like those games and disparage their precursors, not the games themselves. who knew it would spark discussion
ninja gaiden was absolutely better than dmc1, and i doubt i would've reinvestigated the dmc series if i hadn't liked it so much. and for a general audience looking for something besides a sophisticated combat system to dig into, it's arguably better than 3 and certainly better than 4. but
a. that doesn't expunge ng's debts to dmc
b. from that particular combat angle, dmc now beats ninja gaiden as thoroughly as ninja gaiden beats everything else
'you're too smart for this console fanboyism' is my response a lot of the stuff that's posted here -- fuckin deadmeat is this forum's technical guru in absentia. i haven't got any private use for console loyalties, but i'll gladly don the sony slip, panties, bra, stockings, and garters for forum purposes. the xfaggotry that's become the default pose of forum posters, the enthusiast press, tech bloggers etc is just that stifling
