Who cares, it's a game based on The Warriors, use the excellent melee system instead.

Yeah the melee is so much better. Watching your spotty schoolkid do a double leg takedown into the mount position for some ground and pound is awesome.

I like the idea behind bully but damn, not having guns and sniper rifles is pretty gay.
Uh, slingshot anyone?

A slingshot is not a gun, I'm talking pistols and AKs. give me a failing grade, I'll give you a head full of lead!

I think the issue with this game is that nothing takes skill, the only thing they require is time. It's so fucking easy. One of the story missions involves riding your bike to the carnival to have a date with a slut, you have to win 10 tickets on the a sideshow to buy her a stuffed bear.

The achievements really fucking suck too. Do 200 wheelies, beat up 200 people, pick 50 flowers, kiss 25 girls etc... Some of them you can do really quickly like buy 100 sodas, taunt 100 people but there's no thought in them. The kiss 20 boys one is at least a step towards being interesting.

Epic fail for Bully, this should have stayed on PS2. I don't think I can go much further past chapter 2.

Oh God. That part was such shit. The graphics were good but like...wtf. zzz

This is that goddamn bitch you have to help at the movie theater isn't it. I hate that bitch. WHO CARES.

I bet by now you've finished all of your classes and have to ditch school every day, right? The game has a nice idea, but the delivery was pretty flawed.

Also, I don't like how the buttons are context sensitive. Like, if you lightly hit it square or something it's a light jab and if you jam on it it's a hard jab. I'm not a fan of that at all.

I gave up on classes once I got the 9 classes completed achievement. I played it some more this morning, got some more achievements and finished chapter 2. I was probably a little hard on it but it's still only a "good" game, not a great one.

i started this up last night, and played all through Chapter 1, and a couple missions in Chapter 2.

ZERO freezes. achievements unlocked just fine.

another case of the internet exagerrating? seems so.

looks way better than PS2.

the new classes are ok, i'd rank it

Geography > Math > Biology > Music - mostly because Geography and Math actually teaches you something. i still fucking hate Shop class, i can never get it to work. Turn the left stick... oops you failed. i dunno what i am doing wrong.

You do.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
P.S. Doesn't work on the 360.
[close]
I still don't have a 360, just 6 games lulz. If I see it used for the PS2 I may snag it. ...I could never do shop class either. All it does is unlock better bikes and I'd just ride the skateboard around the majority of the time anyway.

Listen man, it's not hard, how thick are you?

Start rotating the stick before it even pops up, and not fast, at the same rate the graphic that pops up rotates, next, when A comes up, you tap A, don't just press it. It's really fucking simple.

You don't have to, but if you're so crippled that you can't figure out how to do it legitimately, then that's how you cheat.

It ain't perfect, but it's really not all that hard.

I dunno, I guess I'm forever alone on this game. I was hyped like crazy for it when it was coming out for the PS2 and I loved it when I played it, and it stands in my top 5 favorite PS2 games, so whatever.

then why are you defensive? i never said it was bad once in this thread. queef.

although i am a little miffed because i got my first freeze and i lost a nice bit of progress. it's all cool though, just a reminder to save more often.

Because you said the Shop class sucks, which it doesn't, because it's arguably the most useful class in the game, since it gives you a better bike to use with every passing grade, and the class also has the best music.

So I finished it today, around 70% in 15 hours. Couldn't be fucked getting photos of all the distinguished mentally-challenged fellows at school or whatever other bullshit you need to do for 100%. I ended up enjoying the later chapters than the early ones, although the final "boss" fights are really poor and require no skill.

I'm currently waiting out my 50k on a skateboard achievement that you can get by skitching behind a car and leaving it run for a while :lol

The new patch sucks too, the initial loading takes much longer and menu's take longer to show up. Thanks wiitards :gloomy

i've had 1000 for a while now, though i had to reboot my xbox several times to get an errand to show up, so i could get that teeny bit of percentage (being at 98.96% doesn't help)

The problem I have with 1000 for me on this is that it's just time based, and I don't have the time to get 100%.

I've had bugged errands too :(

Yeah, what's the deal with this game and achievements?  I haven't been achievement hunting in Bully but I know I've done certain tasks (like win 4 carnival games) but the achievement never shows up.  Same thing happened when I went from chapter 2 to 3 - never got the Sophmore one.

And fuck Music 5 right in the ass.  The best I can get on that song is 87%-89% so I fail.  Worst new class by far.  All the shop classes are just as irritating as I remember....the stick rotational sensitivity absolutely blows.

Ok, yeah, Music 5 is gay. Seriously half assed. Not only is the teacher model made of bullshit, but the actual class sucks so much ass. The timing is way off.

Just started playing this.  I still dig it.  It's a totally half-assed port, though.  Yeah, it's in high resolution, so everything looks crisp and what not, but aside from that, there's no visual bump at all.  And also, the framerate is STILL choppy at certain outdoor parts, just like it was on PS2.

I think word of mouth from the bugginess will mean that this game is going to the bargain bin quick.  Still, if you haven't played it, it is R*'s second best PS2 game.  PS where is my fucking Warriors port?

It's worth a rent at least. I think the PAL version was free of bugs, even though it's been patched now.
