Awesome, thanks!

Man, it's too bad the Super Gundam isn't included in this game, especially since that's what Emma uses in the final battle in this particular mission.

I'm sure they're saving it for Gundam Musou 2.  BTW, I think I agree with you regarding the reasons why the Psycho Gundam isn't in this game.  For whatever reason, the Musou engine must not be able to handle such large enemies.  When I fought the Elmeth (another very large enemy), it just stayed in the background and I had to fight off its bits...but I was never able to fight the Elmeth itelf.  So the game engine probably isn't designed for such large foes.

Yeah, I would've loved to have the Super Gundam at my disposal in the game.

I think it's an issue of scale more than anything. If you look at other Musou titles, all the characters are relatively the same size.

I felt the same way about the ps3 version, its very lacking in terms of "filling in the blanks" in both official and original mode.

There will be times in original mode where people join you and they dont tell you why in any way whatsoever.  and you were JUST fighting them in the prev mission.

I noticed this with the Qubeley Mk. II.  I'm fighting it in the first mission and there it is alongside me in the second and they never give a reason for it switching sides.

This, along with the missing mecha (and not just incidental mecha that only appeared in one episode - the Psycho Gundam was one of the major enemies in Zeta, and it's nowhere to be found in Gundam Musou) makes me feel like they planned it this way from the start, so they could make some sort of future upgrade.  I just hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Jump ship on this trash and go play orochi or SW2,  much much better games.

But, that's the thing, Ichi and I love giant robots. Japanese and Chinese feudal warriors don't cut it.

Then play ACE or something!

Already have!

I'll be jumping head first into Real Robot Regiment once my copy shows up.

I'm sure they can figure out a way to handle this in the sequel.  Maybe add a double jump to the Zeta or other flying units so they can reach the Psycho's head when they hit it.  The Psycho just has to be a boss character, doesn't have to be playable! :hyper

My wish list of mecha for a Musou sequel:
Turn X
Kapool
Acguy
Zock
Zaku I
Gyan
Zudah (prototype suit from MS Igloo)
Psycho
Psycho Mk. II
Quin Mantha
Kampfer
Gundam Alex
GP01
GP02
GP03S
Super Gundam
GM Custom
Guntank
Groundtype Gundam (give us a GM Head while you're at it)
Groundtype GM
Gouf Custom
GM Quel
Doben Wolf
Zaku III
Nu Gundam
Sazabi
Re-GZ
Jagd Doga
Geara Doga
Jegan
Heavy Gundam
Full Armor Gundam
Perfect Gundam
Gundam X
Gundam X Divider
Shining Gundam
Rising Gundam (since it's basically a Shining re-color with bow and arrow and spear)
Nobel Gundam
Maybe some mobile suits from Gundam Seed to make MAF happy.

And while we're at it, I wish they'd give us some custom colors...Amuro's Zeta Gundam, the realtype colors for the original Gundam, etc. Not all of them have to be playable (though I'd love to play fencing-style with a Gyan), but to be able to fight against them would rock.
PS4

My wish list of mecha for a Musou sequel:

Guntank

I've been trying to think how this and the Guncannon would work in a Musou game, and I just can't see it.

Guntank would probably work the same as the Zaku Tank does in Gundam Musou (i.e., it would just not show up in space missions).

Guncannon is already in the first Gundam Musou, it's just not playable.  I believe it uses its fists for close combat.
PS4

Yeah, but I don't think anyone would ever want to use them.  :lol

Climax U.C. with its 86 playable mobile suits omg :bow :bow :bow

(though now that I think about it, I don't think I ever bothered using the Guncannon once I got it lol)

It's so much fun once you get the F90 and F91 to go through the old One Year War levels and just toast everything in your path.
PS4

Did you ever use the Guntank or Guncannon in Federation Vs. Zeon?

NOT. FUN.

SO. NOT. FUN.

No wonder they got cut from Gundam Vs. Gundam. They're not even there as assistants. :(

I looked over the Gundam Musou FAQ (thanks for sending it) and I figured out where I went wrong...I needed to haul ass after Quattro and help him defeat the Qubeley instead of heading back to the Argama to protect it.

That's what I get for trying to follow the anime storyline!  In the anime, the Hyakushiki and the Qubeley faced off one-on-one.

Yeah, don't worry about about protecting the Argama. You want to stick with Quattro when you're Kamille, and you need to do the same thing when you're Quattro.

Quattro was such a cool guy, shame he decided to blow up the Earth. :(

Yeah. Quattro was a great guy until he went batshit idealist insane again. I wonder if that's supposed to be him in Gundam Unicorn?

I wish my Japanese skills were good enough that I could read light novels. Oh well.

There's a rumor that Full Frontal is actually Amuro Ray, sparked by the writer of Gundam Unicorn mentioning that Amuro Ray might not be dead after Char's Counterattack. :lol

It doesn't make much sense, all things considered (Amuro was never charismatic, unlike Full Frontal and Char), and the writer might be playing with our expectations.  Unfortunately, I've never read the novels so I don't know if there are any other characters who might be Amuro Ray in disguise.
PS4

Now I wanna pick up Never Ending Tomorrow too. :(

 :lol :lol :lol

I have it. I thought the controls were awful, even though it's supposed to be a lot like Encounters in Space.

This reminds me, I brought my PSP to work today to play Battle Chronicles on the train ride home but I really have a hard time playing it since it's basically Battle Tactics/Royale plus new stages...I hate having to essentially play the same game over again just to get access to new stuff.
PS4

I played Gundam SEED: Never Ending Tomorrow today, it controls a lot better than I remember. Still not as good as Encounters in Space (same engine), and I think the Japan-only side scrolling Gundam SEED game is better, even though it stops halfway through the show (game ends when the Freedom Gundam shows up in Alaska).

Oh, if you haven't seen all of SEED, DO NOT WATCH NEVER ENDING TOMORROW'S OPENING FMV SEQUENCE. It totally ruins the ending of SEED.

I already know Kira Yamato lives. Why couldn't he explode in the final battle? :(

The opening FMV gives away a whole lot more than just that.

Why is Kira Yamato so popular in Japan?  I do not understand.

I need to get myself a copy of Never Ending Tomorrow, SD Gundam Force Showdown, Eureka 7 Vol. 1 and 2...are there any other recent mechanimu games I'm missing out on?
PS4

I don't know, Kira doesn't bother me. Shin does, though.

I can keep an eye out for NET and SD Gundam Force for you if you'd like.

Shinn is a cool dude, why does he bother you?  Destiny Gundam > Strike Freedom, IMO

Don't worry about either of those games, I think NET is pretty common back home and there's a local store that sells SD Gundam.

Did you ever play the SD Gundam GBA game?
PS4

Nope, I think I only bought like 5 games for my GBA ever.

Was one of those games the GBA version of Battle Assault?
PS4

Nope. I don't have any Gundam GBA games. I bought my GBA when it first came out, bought some games, and then totally forgot about it. The only games I bought post-launch were Kingdom Hearts and Gunstar Heroes Advance.

Yeah, the GBA had a sucky screen.  I've played more GBA games on my DS Lite than I ever did when I had a GBA.

But as you can tell, I'm currently interested in getting the most obscure Gundam games. :lol
PS4

Pink Godzilla has a boxed copy of Z Gundam Hot Scramble for the Famicom, I'm tempted to pick it up along with a NEX (NES/FAMICOM clone system).

NES is where I draw the line, I can no longer enjoy games that look that bad. :lol
PS4

They've also got all the Super Famicom Gundam games, but I'm not interested in dropping $60 on their used Super Famicom.

I really don't to spend any more money!  :o

If you own a Super NES all you need to do is file/cut down the plastic tabs on it and then you can play SFC and SNES games.  I did it with an X-acto knife.

Either that or buy a SFC clone in Japan, they cost like $15.
PS4

I don't have an SNES anymore, but I'm sure I could get one super cheap.

Pink Godzilla is having a sale on Thursday, buy 3 get 1 free, and they have the following SF Gundam games:

SD GUNDAM GX
GUNDAM F91
KIDOSENSHI GUNDAM V
KNIGHT GUNDAM MONOGATARI OOINARU ISAN
SHIN KIDOU SENSHI GUNDAM W

I tempted to get Hot Scramble (IN BOX!!) and the first three games for shits and giggles.

F91 features the F90 :bow

Try to get Gundam Cross Dimension 0079, it's a strategy game that features the continuity-breaking Gundam Pixie
PS4

So while I was picking up my $5 copy of the RahXephon PS2 game at Pink Godzilla, I noticed they got in a copy of Real Robot Regiment for $10. Too bad I already ordered one from Japan, or I could wait until tomorrow and get it for $5 during their 50% off used JP PS2 games sale.
野球

Yes Asia cancelled my order for Votoms on the PS2, they couldn't find a copy in stock.

Booooooooooo.

I'll get you a copy, if you want.  I've only seen new ones around, though, and they're over 6,000 yen.
