I woke up to a 20-25 minute coughing fit (it still hurts underneath my ribs).

I got pulled over by the UK Police for not wearing my seatbelt, and got a 25 dollar ticket.

I got a Midterm in Visual Basic today.

I still don't know what the fuck the print -f statement is.

apparently in my absence everything went to shit with some things i was handling.

would have been fine if i'd been here but since i wasn't...well it wasn't pretty

so i got an hour long talking to regarding this with hr and my manager and i swear to christ i thought i was going to be fired.

they shorted me 9 hours on my paycheck! it doesn't matter because i still made fuck lots of money from overtime yesterday, so this is more fuck lots of money for next paycheck

Ugh, that really sucks. I'll find out how things went in my absence when I head into work this morning!

I hate that there's no one who can watch my back or do my job when I'm out of the office. I'm about to be Out-of-Office for a week-and-a-half, so I'm frickin' terrified...

You never did answer my question about the qualifications expected of a network infrastructure engineer in the games business. I look in the job listings and its everything from qualifications I can fill now to peeps with CCNPs, UNIX experts (these two are my current track), Script ninjas, Random Microsoft Certs, mac certifications (apple + games = lolz), and alotta shit called Ruby that I have never heard of.

What does YOUR company expect of Network Infrastucture Team Members?
