Whut? DVD's look nowhere near as ugly as that on my screen. Next thing you know they will do the same thing for Blu-Ray movies when a superior format arises in a few years. Look at all those artifacts and how blurry it is, almost looks shopped to fool people, these guys can't be serial

There's really no difference because they pretty much cleaned it up a bit and doubled the lines.  It's shitty cable broadcast HD.

the difference between blu ray/hd dvd and dvd is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bigger than that.

what?  that doesn't even make sense?  Does he mean the source is cleaned up dvd?  Because that's what it is.  There's no point in comparing pics because...

1.  The source isn't fucking HD to begin with
2.  He changed the image size

That point is moot when he changes the pictures resolution and uses broadcast HD as his source.  He could have done it so much better with a true HD source (HD DVD/Blu Ray)

Yeah I was just looking at those.  While those do look better, the difference is not "mind blowing" and it still looks pretty disgusting.  Not to mention, I swear to god my dvd looks better than those dvd grabs

It's like someone worked some magic on them with photoshop.
