Concert DVD w/ a few music videos. This concert mostly had songs from Live It Out, but they did the right thing and performed Dead Disco and Combat Baby. No parkdale tho,that would have been the perfect song to end on.

Ordered some more weight plates -

Some poor postie is gonna earn his money, carting 60kg (2x20kg + 2x10kg) of these things to my door ho ho ho.
These plates have their own handles, so you can do a lot with them even without a bar. Pain is coming my way.

Picked up this 19" Monitor from I-O Data yesterday. It was on sale for 28,800 yen. Can't hook up my new MacBook to it yet, though, because NO FUCKING STORES HERE CARRY THE MINI DVI CABLE to hook it up. :'( :'( :'(

BUT the 360 and PS3 look absolutely beautiful on this thing. I get an "out of range" message if I bump up the resolutions, but despite this, the monitor will run the PS3 in 1080p

and the 360 in 1900xwhateveritis resolution through VGA. Just hope that using this monitor like this won't make it blow up or something.

The PS3 looks better on this monitor than it does on my Bravia. Maybe it's the glossy screen. Maybe it's the 1080p. But HOLY SHIT does it look awesome.

Now I just need to get a copy of Windows, and my new computer purchasing adventure will be over.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing for the 360, BUT the PS3 looks so damn good in 1080p. Probably going to turn it back to 720p though, since I keep getting this annoying message saying the monitor is out of range when I do that. Tekken and Uncharted look so

LE, are you using bootcamp for Windows installation or are you using one of the virtualization programs like VMWare? I might pick VMWare for some windows only apps, but bootcamp seems very inconvenient in that you will need to reboot to change OSes.

Oh, but it does...it does! It looks deliciously awesome! But I'm sticking with 720p for the most part since most games don't run at 1080p anyway.

I was thinking of using VMWare for the apps and Bootcamp when doing some gaming. Not sure yet; Bootcamp is definitely the faster way to go, although rebooting does kinda suck. Then again, the Mac boots up so damn fast that it doesn't feel like that much of a bother.

VMWare has a 1 month free trial, BTW. I'm getting a copy of XP through my father back home, so I have to wait a little while before I can mess with it....all the copies of XP sold here are Japanese language-only.

I played the second one for a couple minutes yesterday, the controls were a pain. ACE3 is probably the best Eureka Seven game.
