I don't date girl gamers, CrystalGemini being the exception, because in general they're socially awkward and emotionally fucked up. The truth is, regardless if you think it's right or wrong, gender roles allow for it to be mainly a male hobby, because women are supposed to do crap like go to malls and buy dresses and talk about guys. Games are so low on the female totem pole that if someone has it at such a high priority, chances are they are missing the rest of the female dynamic.
This is changing, since the industry is marketing more towards girls and the hobby is going mainstream, but for women in my age range - having games as a serious hobby is an immediate strike.
