My main beef is that this is gonna animate like balls because they haven't done anything at all to the animation. Garou: MOTW, SF3: 3S, and KoF XI (much less XII which is gonna be fuck amazing on all counts) all are probably gonna still feel more modern due to that fact, even though their sprites are fuck old (but still not older than this monitor I'm on lol).

I might be a 2D fighting noob, but even I told you that SSFIIT was like THE only 2D fighting game I played a lot or owned until now. Well, Mortal Kombat as well, but whatever. You could never tell. It's not like as a kid I looked at them and saw HANDS. Now they're so pronounced.

I forget which one of the later SF2 revisions it was, but one of them did not have the hands in the hadouken for Ryu. Could've been turbo, but yeah, hard to notice. Can't remember if the hands were in Alpha (Another GREAT series in street fighter) or SF3, woulda been much more noticable, as the sptes in those games were larger (especially SF3).

Super Turbo Ryu doesn´t have hands on his fireball, but Ken does. 3Strike does have hands in the fireballs.

The hands are not going to look ugly in motion, only certain frames show the hands which is why some people didn´t notice.

Alpha 1 did not have any hand-oukens. Akuma's air fireballs did have hands in them. Ken had hand-oukens in Alpha 2 and 3. I can't believe people are just noticing this more than 15 years later.

The characters look a bit better from what they were showing in the past... they definitely look less angular. But those backgrounds are horrible and Flash-quality. Especially the NPCs in the background of Guile's stage.

Yeah, I first noticed the hands in the arcades. Arcade monitors ran at a higher resolution than the 16 bit consoles at the time.

Looks very good except for the main stance animation. Ryu and Ken should just be going up and down in that stance, but it seems they do it too fast and looks goofy. Everything else looks very good.

Also, that thread on GAF that says the game is coming at fall is a lie. The game is coming out this Summer (says the official fact sheet, not the one posted on gaf), which means the game is coming before Evo and maybe even before the SF4 arcade release.

Eduardo, what do you figure about being able to change color schemes of the fighters in the remix? I didn't realize the colors were changed up in later SF2s. (I only played significant amounts XBLA SF2, and shitloads of Alpha 3 and 3rd Strike)

Does anyone remember Next Generation magazine and how they would put down ANY game that was 2D, no matter what the design reasons for it were? I remember they actually subtly slammed Street Fighter III when it was first announced. Anything 2D was declared "last gen" and mocked and would never receive a score higher than 2 1/2 stars by editorial mandate.
