Quietly, the story of the year has been the PS2. 8 years out and it is still an incredible sales beast.

Are LO's numbers really that good?  I can't see MS giving Mistwalker a FF-like budget for their next game if LO doesn't sell at least a million worldwide.

It's better than Dragon Quest 8 did on the PS2 in the US, IIRC.

Er

DQVIII did 500k+ in North America didn't it? Are you talking about DQVIII's first month? If so, yeah

I just meant first month sales. I wasn't sure what it did LTD.

True but are people just buying PS2s as replacements?  PS2's software sales are really low for a system that is still selling so many units per month.

no

ps2 software sales is overall far and beyond everything else

when nothing new gets released you wont see software at the very top though

Airborne is trash, you got it completely twisted

COD4 shits on it from afar in Single Player -and- multiplayer

I liked CoD4, but it pales in comparison to all the fps greatness released in the second half of 07 (just talking about sp now)

I couldn't get into the mp at all tbh

God what is wrong with people around the world?

I tried the COD4 demo on my machine, beaten it and it was SAME OLD, SAME OLD only in current setting. Same old infinite respawns, "COVERING FIRE!" and everything made of obsidian (indestructible bulbs).

That and it looked 10 times worse than Medal of Honor: Airborne which seems WAY underappreciated.

What the hell... is the full game so much better or is there something wrong with me?

I LOVE MOH: AIRBORNE BTW

Something is wrong with you.

The only two shooters I play with any frequency are Halo 3 and Warsow.

Yeah, without that infinite respawn shit, I think COD4's SP would be alot better.

People love COD4 because of the multiplayer. I don't know how people haven't realized this yet.

I was, like, disappointed to see Turok that high. It's not that good. It's actually bad.

But oh well.

Year of ps3 continues

No PS3 games in the top ten and Sony tards think this is a victory? I'm sure Cohen/TVC/Drinky can tell us that developers are wary about spending millions to produce games that won't sell.

And wasn't this supposed to be the PS3's comeout party, with the Blu Ray announcement and all? lawl

:lol @ Borys.

Wow with this sort of momentum Sony will overtake 360 in hardware around 20 years from now. It's only a matter of time till software follows suit.
