this game is lookin' hot and buttery smooth in motion.  gears of war w/ a glaive.  :rock   a few things i've read about that sound interesting about the gameplay.  upgradeable weapon system & dual wielding.  introduction of superpowers through story progression.  vibration feedback similar to active reload when throwing the glaive blindly -- 4x damage and chance of decapitation if timing is right (visual feedback using aim).  unique art style with entirely new engine built from the ground up (no unreal 3, thank god).  and best of all, BOSS BATTLES.  anyway, this sounds like the single player experience gears wishes it was.  i could care less about the multiplayer.

i don't expect it to pull AAA reviews, but it looks damn solid and a unique take on the stop-and-pop/third person shooter genre. 

get in here ParticleR... let's run a hype train on this bitch.

after seeing this on the 1up show, I'm certainly interested. The glaive is a potentially great weapon with neat environmental uses (absorb electricity etc) I love how the disease you get acts as an excuse for ability upgrading and you basically looking more badass as time goes on. Sucks that there's no co-op but if it takes that sacrifice to make the sp more interesting, I'd be ok with the trade

also: about time some game copied the RE4 weapon upgrading

can't believe this got a 3 from Edge... but hey, it's Edge
