PSP has the Sega Genesis collection which has ports of the best PS games anyway.

The Genesis soundchip was not best, but many composers really worked that chip. Yuzo Kushiro with the Streets of Rage series, Michuro Yamane with her Castlevania: Bloodlines soundtrack, and let's not forget the awesome Sonic soundtracks. Genesis had some memorable vg music.

I don't like the FM Synth in the Japanese version of PS1... I like the American SMS synth, that sound is fucking ROCKIN!!!

I went to a gay/lesbian club yesterday (with a lesbian friend of mine... and I got more chick's #'s than I do at a straight club, so no insinuating anything!) and ran into the kid who introduced me to PS1 when I was in 4th grade, pretty much influencing my video game playing for the next 18 years.

Anyone have more info on the Phantasy Star II nei's adventure text game? What system was that originally on?

And shame on Sega for not including the Game Gear Phantasy Star Gaiden games. Sadly the only one of the 4 originals that stands up today is PS4, which is a good ride but lacks much depth in it's combat systems.

PS1 and 2 stand up fine if you are into classic RPGs... but yeah it sucks that they didn't include PS Gaiden and Adventure, even though both of those games aren't very good. The PS2 text adventure games I think were downloadable with the modem they had for the console in Japan (supposed to come out to the US even but never did).
