More like, I want to watch a romantic comedy but have no idea which one? Recommend me some, eh?

I was going to borrow one from my neighbor but she's watching a horror movie in bed with a guy right now...IN BED woot woot!

I liked Atonement, but I'm more in the mood for something light-hearted right now. The Holiday was awesome (well, at least I thought so), Amelie, Love Actually...pretty much thats all I can think about right now. I never used to watch romantic comedies. I'm getting ones of those pregnant kind of urges.

Music & Lyrics was a fantastic romantic comedy, one of the very few I actually enjoy. Also, check out Love Actually.

omfg you're on crack. it's so distinguished mentally-challenged it's awesome. except for the whole gay james gandolfini aspect. the movies makes mexico look soooo bad. maybe that's why i like it so much

It Happened One Night is good stuff. Listen to Eric P, he has proven himself to have great taste in movies.

How about just a good romantic movie?

I'd recommend The Bridges of Madison Country.

Definitely the best romantic movie I've ever seen.

It is a horrible movie. The Mexican is still one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Eric P has made the best post so far, IMO - watch The Apartment, rodi. You don't mind older movies, do you? It's REALLY good.

All of those are at least in the neighborhood of the genre. If you rent Sabrina or Charade, for God's sake get the originals with Audrey Hepburn.

Watching the remake of Charade with Marky Mark was the most puzzling cinematic experience I've had the last few years. Can someone explain it to me?

About a Boy isn't really a romantic comedy. The romance is incidental to the main plot, IMO.

The Marx Bros. comedies can technically sneak in, since Zeppo (or Generic Zeppo Replacement in the later ones) is always macking on some ingenue.

woody allen is so divisive i really have a hard time suggesting anything he's done.

personally he's my absolute favorite director and i'd watch home movies of him fucking dogs but i can understand why people hate him.

i think that manhattan is bit more "real" in its depictions of relationships while also throwing a comedy veneer atop it.

I know I'm day late and a dollar short here but....

Not really a romantic comedy but there is some of both in there. I swear the extra 30-some minutes in the director's cut make all the difference in the world. I never really cared for the theatrical version but I really love this one and the commentary with Crowe and his real mother is pretty hilarious. Definitely worth hunting down.

I never cared for Say Anything...or Singles...or Jerry Mcguire...or pretty much anything Crowe has done outside of the director's cut of Almost Famous. Like Cusack though.
