hi welcome to the party

v for vendetta is pretty good.

my favorite work of his is from hell but that can be really intimidating for people to slog through.

the dark knight returns is pretty good.  i just re-read it last week.

i'll second we3.  i just bought it for my girlfriend.  my status message was "r gud dog" today and she was confused because she had no idea what it referenced, so i'm sending it to her.

I just googled We3 and it looks weird, I mean that dog...

Edit: Just realizing something...most of the graphic novels people recommend me are from DC.  Any Marvel graphic novel worth reading out there?

the issue with marvel is that their stories are great in long form, but short form, in something easily digestible like graphic novels and the like, really tend to suffer, at least in my opinion.  but it's really a matter of personal preference.

i can suggest some great stand alone marvel stuff if you're interested.

i will pretty much blindly suggest anything morrison writes

there's a lot that i simply won't though.  not even to other comic fans.

invisibles is tough to take, but i think it's worth it.  the filth, on the other hand does nothing for me.

I have read the Invisibles  ( :-* ) and enough people have warned me of The Filth that it is a do not read at this point.

The Filth has some really sweet art, but overall I didn't care for it that much. There's one two-page panel though that's just insane.
