Does anyone else think that the various colored generic popsicles don't taste like any fruit in particular, but rather they taste like colors?

I realized that after someone asked me what the pink popsicle tasted like.  I was like, "It tastes like pink!"

Also, all of them taste the same, no matter what brand.

This blew my mind.

Bomb Pops especially.  The blue tastes like blue, I'm not sure how else to to describe it.  White is like white, too.   Only red by having a hint cherry flavor tastes like something other than a color flavor for me.

I fuckin' LOVE the taste of BLUE. When I was a wee tot, I used to get a BLUE SLURPEE -- yes, the freeze machine was labeled as the "BLUE" flavor -- and it would BLOW MY MIND.

I doubt I could eat it these days -- I'd probably go into some sugar toxic shock.

I had this argument with my wife over the taste of M&M's and Sweettarts. She swears there is a difference in taste.

think of the fountain diluted juices that you can get in fast-food restaurants along with Coke, Sprite and root beer, if popsicles taste like colors, just _what_ do they taste? Melted popsicles? :(

Yeah, blue juices or popsicles definitely have a specific taste that isn't like any fruit.
