I had Japanese and U.S. LAUNCH model Playstations and Playstation 2s that always worked perfectly.
The worst hardware I've ever owned was the Neo-Geo CDZ. What a piece of shit..there's some bio/hardware bug that makes them all fuck up eventually. The Neo CD I got after that also broke down. This drove me to go with the superior cart-based AES system from that point on.
PS2, but I didn't buy it at launch. It still works, I brought it over to Japan with me.
Are we back to comparing the niggling failures of the PS2 with the massive failure rate of the 360?
No, looks like we're back to acting like there are PS2s from 2001 that still work.
mine works :'(
my launch 360 is also running like a champ :'(
face it, people with broken xboxes, they're just not that into you
You just jinxed yourself. Like twice.
Microsoft took that ball and ran with it, to another level entirely. The 360 is the only hardware I can think of that people buy with the expectation it will break down within a year.
well, i wasn't entirely serious there - as i've stated if i do recommend the X360 to people i tell them upfront that they WILL be sending it back at some point.
Right- and so someone not wanting to buy one because of that is entirely justified.
