i've been replaying it, and always i try to beat this motherfucker without upgrading my gears, but i can never do it. he has an attack that always hits and does ~450 damage (i got 1800-1900 health), and i can barely scratch him - close to 100 damage with deathblows - which makes me believe it's impossible to do it. it's only around 5k to upgrade my gears, but i wanted to save the money. stupid game.
