I don't hate foreigners! I do have some issue with people living in the US illegally, though.
You said you wanted to make it illegal to speak anything but English in the US. That sounds like a deep distrust of foreigners to me, at the very least!
Remember that those illegals are what's propping up the economy! They take the jobs no one else will!
I think English should be the official language--I don't think that entails making it illegal to speak anything else. If it does, I didn't know, hah. I don't care what you do in your own home, but if you come into a public place and act like an asshole because you can't find someone to speak Spanish/French/Catonese/Mandarin/whatever-ish to you, you'd better believe I have a problem with that. Then again, I have a problem with assholes in general.
Propping up the economy? Some of them take jobs no one else will, certainly. But lots of them also take welfare and shit like that, and those people are a drain on our society and not a help to it. [ANYONE who does that sucks though--lazy people who can work but won't--doesn't matter if they're citizens or not.]
Powerslave! You've obviously never met anyone with a totally badass reef tank. My friend's is 120 gallons of pure awesomeness and I wish I had one. It totally trumps my 29 gal.
