xbl help
« on: March 25, 2008, 02:24:27 AM »
I turn on my 360 with my ethernet cable hooked up as usual, and I log into my profile. But thing is, I can't get onto XBL at all. I try to sign in and it just hangs there for a bit and then logs me out of my profile. what the hell.

edit: nvm, it seems my accounts suspended because i didn't get to pay for xbl this month

What demi said.

Basically, once you start paying for Live, they're going to do everything they can do legally to make sure you keep paying.

Himu, you'll have call them if you want to downgrade.  Also you won't get your money back if you some months remaining.

Well, my main problem is the credit card getting declined

it says this

"If you have a credit card renewal set and that card is in decline, you will carry an outstanding balance and will go through the standard decline cycle, not dropping to the Silver tier."

Having to go online to pay games you paid for is such bullshit.

MS need to dispense with this part of the policy, like people say - the charge for XBL is okay, but what happens X years down the line? When the X360 is a legacy console...

also - riddle me this MS...

why after you set your subscription for 1 year does it DEFAULT BACK TO MONTHLY?!

Don't get me started on not being able to delete credit card information...

MS is distinguished mentally-challenged with their billing options.  I just use pre-paid cards now.

Yeah dcharlie. One time I was at home, and at home I have no XBL. I wanted to play the almighty game Psychonauts on my 360 and guess what? I couldn't fucking play it without being hooked up to xbl.

Get that checked out quick.  Like now.  They might have opened an investigation on your card, which card companies due from time to time to monitor fraud.  Have you made any major purchases recently?  I bought a computer recently and I received a call from my card company since I rarely make big purchases on my card.  This is standard practice.

I actually lost my CC and had to get a replacement.  It had a new account number, so the old number, saved on my 360 was null and void.  I then called xbl cs and cancelled my subscription and have been using pre-paid cards since.

Yeah.  That's what I did.  I spoke to someone in India. LOL.  Your CC info will remained cached in the database.  But if you cancel by calling cs, they will no longer auto bill your card.

There's really no other reason for some of the crap they do on Live. Not being able to easily cancel or alter your account, not being able to remove your CC, and most distinguished mentally-challenged of all, games costing 400 and 800 but yet you can only buy 500 and 1000 points online.
