Heat's Ending

Just read this:

I wanted De Niro to kill Pacino so badly I almost bit through my own arm after the ending. At the very least, they should have killed each other.

My ending: De Niro blows Pacino away, then meets Amy Brennaman at the airport, bangs her in the shitter, then tears up her ticket as he gets on the plane by himself. No fucking attachments.

I agree. I know it'd destroy the point of the last 45 minutes, but fuck it. De Niro > Pacino

It would destroy the point of the "heat". But here's my ending:

Pacino shoots De Niro but gets shot as well; Pacino lives, but is so weakened that he's unable to do anything but hold De Niro's hand - like the original ending. De Niro staggers out of the field, steals a car, and tries to get back to his girl. But the wound is fatal and his driving becomes quite erratic. The camera stays on De Niro's face for awhile, and once the car stops the camera pans out to reveal De Niro has driven all the way to the waterline on a beach. He dies staring out at the water on the beach

I think the ending should of been Pacino yelling "WHOO HA!" then taking a dump on the sidewalk. After that you cut to black for about 10mins then roll the credits.
