Yet another review fails to impress me...
« on: November 03, 2006, 09:10:35 PM »

After reading Gamespot's review of Powerstone collection I am convinced they didnt play BOTH games in the collection. It all stems from THIS comment:

Quote
Despite the relatively simple presentation, Power Stone Collection is unfortunately saddled with some lengthy load times. They don't really interfere with the gameplay experience once you get in a fight, but all the waiting around between matches can definitely test your patience.

I got my copy today, and to my dismay upon playing the original, there was 'a bit' of loading time between matches. Ive seen worse on the PSP but the comment was valid...until I played Powerstone 2, which has very LITTLE load time however the review still felt the need to state that:

Quote
Power Stone Collection is unfortunately saddled with some lengthy load times.

This combined with the fairly vauge comments about the content of the collection lead me to believe that they might not have played past a few minutes of the original and taken a glance at the EXTRAS menu. Also notice the difference between the review score and the READER review score.

Who am I to believe anymore, honestly. Fukin amatures all over the place.

Sony bringing load times to handhelds is evil.

OTOH, we need more Powerstone.

Powerstone holds up surprisingly well. It's a shame that despite how blatantly Smash Brothers apes it, it could never be as good a game as Powerstone.

The load times in the first Powerstone game are baffling. Powerstone 2 loads WAY more stuff per match and loads WAY faster. Wtf capcom.

Nevermind, I don't want to make this into a PSP thing.
