Yup, up at 5:45, wanted to die. Got my ass into the shower, shaved muh face, dodged sniper fire, got dressed, fed cat, stumbled to car, hit 7-11, stumbled onto freeway, some evasive maneuvers freaked out as people cut me off over and over, got to work.

thankfully traffic was good this morning, but I left home at 7:30 yesterday and traffic was so bad, so I left earlier today. I hate Greater Seattle Area traffic, so much. I live pretty far north of work too. A commute one way can take as much as an hour and fifteen minutes.

Its not easy, but I have a lot of traveling ahead of me in the morning and I cant leave the house without being clean and presentable and prepared. That requires about 45 minutes to an hour of time before I leave the apartment.

I'm on a 8-5 schedule as well.  I'm a morning person though.  I wasn't in high school and college, however.

I recently changed my schedule to where I'm coming in at 10:30ish.  My former hour commute now takes sub-20 minutes some days, depending on the traffic lights.

I get up at 5:30 am Wed/Thurs/Friday, since those are my days that I work at the middle school. It sucks, but I've gotten used to it over the last year and a half.

The best part, though, is that my work day is done at 2:45pm. So awesome.

I do, but as a school psychologist, I work an extended school year. I stay a week after everyone else, and I come back a week earlier than everyone else. I get a week or two off in June, all of July off, and two weeks off in August. I also do Early Childhood Education evaluations throughout the summer for extra pay, which ends up taking about a week or two. But still, I get a lot of time off throughout the year. I'm not complaining!

Its weird. When I lived in AZ I did about 1.5-2 hours of commute a day but it wasnt traffic so much as sprawl, then I get here where I can do just about the same if im not carpooling and its 100% cause of traffic lol.
