maybe i need to use an ethernet cable instead of the wi-fi connection - would that help?

i changed the password from ebore to yeah on the off-chance "ebore" might be recognized as a curse word by the distinguished mentally-challenged fellows in sonyland

and it still won't let me in

if not, that's complete bullshit, i hosted 24 player games in COD3 on 360 with absolutely no problems

sony's online is easy to connect, i'll give it that, but it's all downhill from there

that 8 player limit pisses me off the more i think about it

searched around, and found out that there's just no way around that 8 player cap

even though, again, i have hosted much larger rooms in other games

haha, the sony fanatics on the boards i searched gave the usual "oh, 32 players is too much anyway, you'll get used to the smaller games" bullshit defense of this retardery

i'm gonna hold onto this for a week or so, get some playtime out of it, and call it an expensive rental

and i'll be goddamned sure to do some extensive research before i plop down the cash to buy another sony online game

so warhawk basically forces you to host X number of people based on your connection?

i thought they had their own servers, why would you need to host?

yeah, you're capped according to whatever arbitrary method they used to determine what your internet speed can handle

yes, there are dedicated sony servers, but i want to host some of my own larger-scale games limited to friends and online acquaintances

they won't let me do that - even though i know for a fact my bandwidth can handle more than 8 players

i knew i might not be able to handle 32-player games, but goddamn, i ought to be able to host 16 easily

essentially, if i host, unless i scale down the maps, the games will be ghost towns

and if i scale down the maps, 50% of the game is cut off to me
