Damn, the Microsoft points are such a deceitful gimmick

I've decided to get Street Fighter 2 and am enjoying it thus far and this is my first Xbox Live Arcade purchase. However, the system MS has put in place for online purchases is a load of bull.

The game costs 800 points, so I'm asked to buy them electronically... and can only pay for chunks of either 500 or 1000 points! So I have no choice but to get 1000 points that cost me 15.50$ CDN when I could've gotten away with 800.

And then just after you've made your purchase, you're left with options to buy picture themes based on the SF characters for 100 points each... wtf is going to buy that shallow crap? No one would make any effort to buy that... but gamers might get tempted to spend their supplementary points away.

Imagine how much money Microsoft and their business associates are making like that. So not only do they create a new virtual currency, but they extort a few bucks from you on many transactions. That's just ridiculous.

Since when is it deceitful for someone to openly reach their hand into your wallet?
