probably

there may just not be any in the starting area i'm in.

i wrapped up my final quests there last night so it's on to the next zone.  did a small fellowship to kill a lvl 11 signature creature (named creatures, basically.  not rare like in wow though).  the captain abilities are really a little strange seeing as they require at least one death to really get going but once you get into a rhythm, it becomes easier and easier to kill stuff, because you have the conditional skills which you may activate once an enemy dies.

though the sound effects for them are horrible.  they should have gone with short snippets of speech since that's what they're supposed to represent

pulled from amazon

Quote
This is what IS included with special edition. LOTRO install DVD in rectangular cardboard cd sleave holder. LOTRO soundtrack and making of DVDs in rectangular cardboard cd sleave holder. Special product key paper with a 10 day buddy key. LOTRO quick reference card with a very general map of middle earth on back. (whole dvd case is length and width of normal game case but a little deeper.) approx. 7" x 12" map of middle earth on 20lb parchment paper. map has low contrast, so you might not recognize it when viewing across the room. paper lotro game manual. Besides the additional in game item, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE INSIDE COMPARED TO STANDARD is the parchment paper map and the soundtrack/making of dvd.

but since it was the same price as the regular edition and came with a bonus in game item (+2 morale cloak), i figured why not?

i was questing tonight with two captains as a fellowship.  it was pretty damn cool.  we'd trade off our healing shout/ faster attack shout based on cool down.  we were doing quite well i think.

Not having any healing abilities with the Burgler was busting my balls...then I leveled to level 12 :D

I'm now able to restore Morale (Health) by taking away a trick from an enemy. Quite helpfull.

Also, I mastered the Apprentice Prospector tier and I'm now able to strike a Critical when crafting Ingots. What happens when I strike a Critical? I get 3 more Ingots than I would normally. Thats a nice perk.

yeah i can see that

though i can't really see any problems with dying

you get a minor damage to equipment and you temporarily gain "dread"

but i haven't really had enough of it to affect me.

i just checked my account it looks like some gamestop fuck swapped the keys on me

i have a standard account key, but paid for the collector's edition.

also my goddamn manual is supposed to be full color.

this explains why i can't get my bonus in game item.

jesus fucking christ.

brandywine

i have a 10day code if anyone's feeling up for it.

i really like it.  it's not better than wow, and the ui is pretty much the same, but the classes are somewhat different enough and i REALLY like how they introduce you to the world with the instances and pre-world.

don't play a hobbit though.

Opened up the slot for "Class" and "Race" traits. I love the whole equipping various Traits that'll really make your character different from the base Class stats.

The "Class" trait I'm using now is "Ambidextrous" which allows more melee damage with the offhand weapon when dual wielding.

I've seen Scholar relics at certain ruins. I wonder if thats what you need to find? They're usually little broken jugs or vases lieing around.

I can also help you with making Ingots if you need any. I usually have way more than I ever need (I'm already on the Expert Quest for my Weaponsmith ability).

Just created an alt character with the Jeweler Skill (Tinker Vocation). They can polish Gems which is handy for weaponscrafting.

And I gotta check out the stuff you can exchange for

$200 should pay for itself over what? a few months less of one year at $20 a month? Not too shabby

And killing Elite Twisted Oaks in the Old Forest by myself = fucking awesome
