It's not as shit as I thought - but I wouldn't be able to stomach it on a real difficulty level. I can see now why the graphics get so much praise, I appreciate the setpiece design, etc. But really, every fight boils down to a shooting gallery. It's really annoying to see these clusters of 10 guys running around all over the place without any purpose, constantly pouring out of the same door.

I wish it had co-op, then I'd go for Veteran or something.

Does Mile-High involve the epilogue? I didn't bother with that. I'd already done every mission from Bog on in a matter of hours, I was done.

As for the ferris wheel one, I was on easy, so it was a joke.

Back in November, I only bought the game for the multi, so I didn't feel compelled to finish the SP at all. I dabbled with Hardened and got disgusted with it during the Bog. So I figured I'd just rush through on Easy and see the sights without being frustrated with the totally pathetic 'challenge' posed by the developers.

Even on Easy the game is loaded with magic one hit kills from hidden enemies meleeing you and random exploding cars.

Mile High is the epilogue on Veteran, yea

Game is pretty easy on Veteran, just a few choke points (Mile High being one of them)

I enjoyed COD4's SP very much, mostly because it was such a visceral experience.  Sony fans who keep shitting on COD4 are nuts.

I played the PC version which has even better graphics and KB+M controls that alleviate many of the problems that console gamers had.

Seeing COD4 run at 60 fps in greater than 1080P was one of the best gaming experiences of the last few months.

The only thing that bothered me was those damn dogs.  I could never get the timing right to snap their necks.  It was usually game over for me whenever a dog pulled me to the ground.

I heard many complaints about spawning enemies and grenade spamming.  They didn't seem to bother me.  I breezed through Veteran.

That doesnt sound limited to console gamers

I breezed through Veteran as well - minus the choke points (Ferris Wheel, No Fighting in War Room, Mile High)

Yea, I could see NFWR being a real piece of shit on a hard difficulty level.

I'll probably go for some of the Veteran achievements in a few weeks and see how far I get before being annoyed.
