Nah, the first half of Alien is inexcusably boring. The scene where Harry Dean Stanton's character gets killed is pretty amazing though.

Aliens is the shit i still want to see the scenes they couldnt even find. The movie was kick ass before the special edition now it kicks even more ass.

Gonna have to watch it when it comes out in HD.

The best part of Aliens isn't in the movie, but in the DVD documentary.  There's this great bit where Michael Biehn, blatantly pretending to not be the self-absorbed Hollywood diva he obviously is, plays dumb about his famous line - "Eat this!"

He's like, "I think I said something like, 'Eat that!' or maybe something else... but whatever it was people liked it."

Yeah right, buddy.  Like you don't say that shit in the mirror every fucking morning or use it to get free blowjobs from nerds.  He probably has it on a license plate.

What does "Christianized" have to do with anything?  Michael Biehn is a notorious asshole.  I don't buy that he doesn't remember his famous line from the last decent thing he ever did on celluoid.

I watched the original aliens when i was six in the theatre and all the parts that were in the SE quadrilogy were in that original i watched when i was six i always thought their was something missing like the auto tracking machine guns

The only part I really like from the SE is the sentry gun sequence.  The colony scenes in the beginning annoy me; they're useless and remove the suspense of cutting straight to the arrival on LV-426.  The pacing is altogether better in the theatrical cut.  It's tighter and just feels better. (oh my that doesn't sound like I'm talking about a movie!)
