International travel - help with power outlets

So I will, for the firs time ever, be leaving North America. I'll be in Flroence for a month so I will need to charge laptop, phone, and camera. I have the money, the flight, not quite yet a place to live. The one thing I have no hope of finding, for some reason, is a good power adapter or converter.

Any of you know of one I could buy? I could then post it in the daily WDYB thread.

Most chargers for portable equipment will happily accept 100-240V, so you probably just need a plug adapter for your chargers. Check your chargers for voltage ratings. For ungrounded stuff, a regular round-pronged europlug type will work in Italy. Such as this one:

The middle hole is for the ground prong.

If you're near a Fry's, they sell a power converter package that says it can be used everywhere.  it has a shit ton of different connectors and whatnot.  I'll take a picture of it when i get home and see if i can find a brand or something.

Thanks, I had already checked my phones charger to see if it was 220v compatible, it doesn't say anything about voltage on it at all... time to check out the manufacturer website I guess. wish me luck.

Huzzah! my phone's charger does accept up to 240v. no converter for me!
